The whiskey is made from a mix of cereals, fermented with yeast, and aged for usually at least three years in wooden casks. In recent years, there has been a surge in cross-cask blends of whiskey where suppliers like Jameson use casks and barrels from beer suppliers to create some beautiful blends of whiskey.
